About
Mauri C. is a Mexico City-based independent technology builder and founder of Age.I.
For more than 20 years, my work has crossed software, web development, QA, education, logistics, operations, and leadership.
My work has always been about understanding systems, people, and problems, then building something practical that helps.

Background
My career hasn’t followed a traditional path, and that’s one of my biggest strengths.
I’ve spent more than two decades working across software, education, logistics, technology, and leadership. I’ve been a CTO/CIO, Senior QA Engineer at Rakuten Viber, web developer, automation specialist, technical support professional, translator, graphic designer, computer science teacher, and founder.
Long before building software full-time, I spent years leading educational and outdoor programs in Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Israel, working with participants from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. I coordinated teams, designed educational experiences, managed large-scale logistics, and was responsible for the safety and wellbeing of groups ranging from a few dozen to several hundred participants. Those experiences taught me that the best systems are built around people, not just technology.
Throughout my career I’ve enjoyed being the person people call when something is broken, inefficient, confusing, or simply needs to work better. Whether that meant repairing computers, designing websites, automating business processes, testing global software, building AI-powered products, or helping organizations rethink how they operate, the goal has always been the same: create practical solutions that people can trust.
Today I combine that experience with modern AI-assisted development, product thinking, and a strong QA mindset to build reliable apps, websites, and automation systems. I work across Spanish, English, Hebrew, and Portuguese, and I enjoy bridging the gap between technical complexity and clear, practical communication.
Outside of technology
Before becoming a full-time technology builder, I spent years teaching computer science, leading educational programs, coordinating international youth experiences, and managing outdoor logistics. Those experiences shaped how I approach software today: technology is only successful when it helps real people solve real problems.
How I work
Technical work shaped by judgment, ethics, and communication.
The tools evolve, but the through-line stays the same: make something useful, make it understandable, and make it hold up in real life.
AI-assisted builder with real technical judgment
I use modern AI-assisted workflows openly, but the work is still guided by real product thinking, QA instincts, communication, and technical responsibility.
High standards and good communication
Good work is not only technical. It also depends on clarity, reliability, maintainability, and being genuinely good to collaborate with.
Timeline
A long arc through systems, people, quality, and practical building.
The roles changed over time, but the underlying work kept pointing toward understanding complexity and turning it into something more useful.
Early
Computer teacher and web builder
An early foundation in teaching computer science, building websites, and exploring the web when the medium still felt wide open. Those years sparked a lifelong interest in technology, communication, and making complex ideas accessible.
Leadership
Education, leadership, and international logistics
Years of leading educational programs through Habonim Dror and helping found Hechalutz in Israel. Coordinated teams, managed large-scale logistics, and worked with participants from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, developing a people-first approach to leadership, responsibility, and problem solving.
Support
Technical support and problem solving
For more than a decade, became the trusted person people relied on to solve technical problems, repair computers, troubleshoot hardware and software, recover data, and keep technology running smoothly. This practical experience shaped a strong troubleshooting mindset that still influences every project today.
Web
Web design and localization
Designed and developed websites, multilingual experiences, and digital content with a focus on usability, communication, structure, and helping organizations present themselves more clearly online.
QA
Senior QA Engineer at Rakuten Viber
Helped ensure the quality of software used by millions of people worldwide, combining a deep testing mindset with user-flow analysis, automation, exploratory testing, edge-case discovery, and close collaboration with engineering teams on high-profile and experimental features.
Systems Leadership
CTO/CIO at Grupo S4 / Spring Air Logistics
Led the Systems and IT department, defining technical strategy, managing infrastructure and operations, leading a small engineering team, and aligning technology with business needs across the organization.
Platform Engineering
Built a sophisticated Google Workspace business platform
Designed and developed a sophisticated internal business platform using Google Workspace, Apps Script, and third-party APIs that replaced multiple expensive commercial systems. The platform unified operations, logistics, monitoring, GPS tracking, official S.A.T. invoicing, reporting, document generation, client-facing features, automation, and business workflows into a single solution tailored to the company’s needs.
Founder
Founder of Age.I
Building a practical longevity platform that combines product thinking, QA discipline, AI-assisted development, and a strong focus on creating useful tools that help people better understand and improve their health.
Next step
Need someone who can think clearly about systems, people, and practical technical work?
If that combination is what the project needs, I’m open to the conversation.
